Micbot Establishes Strategic Cooperation with Zhejiang Sci-Tech University! Professor Li Qinchuan Appointed Chief Scientist
On January 26, Micbot and the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, opening a new chapter in the in-depth integration of industry, university and research. Li Qinchuan, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, and Wang Zixuan, Chairman of Micbot, attended the ceremony and witnessed this important moment together.
At the ceremony, Professor Li Qinchuan was appointed Chief Scientist of Micbot. Professor Li Qinchuan is a national-level leading talent in robotics, an expert receiving special government allowances from the State Council, a National Advanced Worker, a recipient of the National May 1st Labor Medal, and a Model Worker of Zhejiang Province. He has presided over and participated in more than ten national-level research projects, including one National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and once served as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Robotics. His main research areas include robotic mechanism theory, robotic manufacturing equipment, robot operation skill learning and generalization, legged and humanoid robots. After joining Micbot, he will lead the company’s technology strategy planning, major R&D project decision-making, and the construction of high-level scientific research platforms.
Chairman Wang Zixuan extended a warm welcome to Professor Li Qinchuan. He noted that the robot industry has entered a critical transition from “demonstration feasibility” to “commercial availability”. He pointed out that Micbot takes R&D as its core and technology as its foundation. The company will work closely with the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University to break through key core technologies, develop high-quality products, and jointly cultivate practical talents for the robotics industry, contributing to the high-quality development of the embodied intelligence industry.
Professor Li Qinchuan fully affirmed the development prospects of Micbot and spoke highly of the team’s comprehensive strength. He mentioned that Juwei’s founding team has profound technical expertise and rich industrial experience. The company’s solid industrial foundation and diverse application scenarios provide an excellent industrialization platform for academic research and technological innovation in universities. Both Micbot and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University are located in Qiantang District, enjoying a natural geographical advantage that lays a solid foundation for further cooperation. He expected that the two sides will deepen industry-university-research collaborative innovation and achieve fruitful results through this strategic partnership.

This university-enterprise cooperation not only injects strong scientific research strength into Micbot, but also forms a virtuous cycle of “demand-driven R&D, scenario-verified technology, and industry-fed innovation”. It sets a new benchmark for industry-university-research integration in the robotics sector and will strongly promote the independent innovation and industrialization of core technologies for domestic quadruped robots.
