Micbot Attends the AI Security and Agent Technology Application Symposium for China's Petrochemical Industry
From March 31 to April 2, the 2026 Symposium on AI Security and Agent Technology Applications for China's Petrochemical Industry was held in Hangzhou. Co-organized by the China Equipment Management Association, the Chinese Petroleum Society, and other institutions, the event brought together academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, senior leaders and technical experts from petrochemical central state-owned enterprises, as well as scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutes. Participants gathered to discuss the innovative deployment of AI security and agent technologies in the petrochemical industry. Wang Zixuan, Chairman of Micbot, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech.

In his speech titled "Future Innovative Applications of Embodied Robots in Petrochemical Scenarios," Wang Zixuan drew on cutting-edge embodied intelligence technologies and hands-on industrial experience to systematically propose an intelligent solution using wheeled and quadruped robots for high-risk petrochemical environments. He noted that Juwei's quadruped robots, as rare special-grade embodied robots in the industrial sector, leverage their adaptability to complex terrains, sensor fusion capabilities, and motion stability to extend human perception and action. They can replace manual labor in hazardous area inspections—such as pipe galleries, tank farms, and process units—as well as gas leak detection, and can perform unmanned reconnaissance, material transport, and emergency rescue operations. While ensuring the safety of frontline personnel, these robots help shift petrochemical enterprises from "human experience-driven" to "data-driven" intelligent operations and maintenance, enabling traceable inspection management, predictable equipment maintenance, and controllable safety risks.

The specialized operational scenarios in the petrochemical industry are highly aligned with the explosion-proof characteristics of the company's quadruped robots. At the symposium, Micbot showcased its new-generation product, MOVENEW P2, presenting a comprehensive solution for unmanned upgrades in the petrochemical sector. The product has strengthened its explosion-proof capabilities, having obtained the Ex db eb IIB T4 Gb composite explosion-proof certification, and is set to receive Ex db eb IIC T4 Gb, ATEX, IECEx, and other composite and international certifications. Having passed rigorous extreme-environment tests, the robot has been piloted in six core high-risk areas, including catalytic cracking units, tank farms, hydrocracking units, loading and unloading platforms, and ethylene cracking furnaces, with positive market feedback and steadily growing orders.
Looking ahead, Micbot will continue to focus on the specialized industrial robotics arena, using technological innovation to empower the digital, intelligent, and intrinsic safety upgrades of the petrochemical industry, injecting new quality productivity into the high-quality development of the energy sector.
